GPS chip and beacon

Hey everyone, I recently acquired a new Discovery Sport TD4 HSE, and it's quite a departure from my previous vehicle. The first owner mentioned something about a missing GPS chip and beacon, and they had some issues related to that. They also recommended using Apple CarPlay. I'm pretty new to this vehicle, so I'd appreciate more information on these aspects. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Search using the vin number to see what was actually bolted onto the car when produced..

as for apple car play,, I think its like dogs or cats, holdens or fords etc...

If you have an iPhone, CarPlay is a no brainer. If you don't have an iPhone, well that's a no brainer too[bigwhistle]

I entered my VIN and it says INVALID! Whys that?
