D2 owners may be familiar with the six "chimes" on turning on the key. I wasn't. didn't know it did it. Sometime, when I was checking things with the nanocom I've managed to turn them on, after 10 years of ownership. If there's something I hate, it's things bonging at me. Anyone know which nanocom rabbit hole I strayed down so I can retrace. my steps and turn the bloody things back off?

Couple things it could be that I have heard of:

1) The seatbelt warning chime in the BCU settings within the Nanocom.
2) The SLABS unit reporting a minor fault.
3) Faulty input?

Would you describe it as a low or high pitch?

The chime has a higher pitch if the keys are removed, headlights on and door open, versus a lower pitch when the vehicle is off, keys left in the ignition and door opened.

I would first try bringing up the SLABS computer and clearing faults even if nothing is there.

If that doesn't work, head over to the Valeo BCU page, then settings, then Lights / Windows / Seats, and navigate to the third page. You can change the seat belt warning sound there if it's not right.

As an aside, there is a very handy Nanocom emulator available if you want to play around with the menus without your vehicle connected: https://emulator.nanocom-diagnostics.com/

I'm not an expert but I hope that points you in the right direction.

Go in BCU - Settings - Lights/windows/seats, on last page set the seatbelt audible warning to disabled, after the "write settings" wait 60 seconds then exit the menu and unplug but check all the warning lights after ignition cos in this menu nanocom used to change settings without request from time to time

Thank you. I have no memory of wandering down that little avenue of the nanocom maze. I'll try it out tomorrow.

Seems one of our experts agrees with you. Thx

I'd go for option 3.
Tins is famous for falty input.

Am I a pot or a kettle? Either way I'd never deny a retort opportunity.

That did it. I'm guessing that the nanocom did it on it's own cos I ain't touched anything in there. Other things were turned off as well.

The woke are most offended when you call them out.

Just don't call me a cyclist or anything else that has to do with gratuitous exercise, except for *******, that's ok, or I'll get really really cross.

Where the stars are you can substitute a word that means owner operator which starts with 'W'.
