Hey folks

My birthday yesterday. Look what my wife has bought me? We never normally give or receive gifts so this was quite unexpected.

It’s a LEGO special edition. The steering actually works, it has functional suspension and you can build it either in regular or expedition mode!

Obviously the hood opens and you have the option of classic hood or post 2007 TD4 power bulge.

Best of all you it comes supplied with two engine blocks, a five cylinder unit or a V8. You choose which you want to drop into the model. If they’ve thought so hard about it I’m surprised they’ve provided the power bulge hood which doesn’t align with either engine.

I’d love to share a picture with you but am struggling to add it here. Here’s a link.

I was going to say, hate to be the downer rivet counter and make the comment about the engine option being a TD5 or V8 but the other thread shows a TDCi bonnet, so that would make it crap.

But 2 bonnet options! is dam cool.
But still technically you cant mix the TDCi bonnet and have a TD5 engine. I spose the v8 with a TDCi bonnet, or a TD5 with the flat bonnet.
Unless its a rover V8, then its crap again... so on and so forth.

Why didnt they include a third engine?

Maybe its a conversion and the 5 cylinder is the Ford 3.2...
