I have a discovery 4 2.7 with a gap tool. I have a friend who has a discovery 4 3 litre. So my question is the gap tool vehicle specific or model specific as he wants to program a new key and I have offered my Gap to do it but thinking if another vehicle needs to be added to it.
Also what mileage are people changing their alternators and the best suppliers.
Thanks Lindsay.

GAP website says the Pro is any VIN but the blutooth version (which I assume you have) is VIN-locked.

You can do some but not all features on other cars but this is described on the website
You can check and clear faults I know for sure. I think you can see live values also

From the Gap website : "VIN-Locked: The IIDTool BT come with one free VIN License. Additional licenses are available in the shop section."

$198 to add a vin, did this a few months for another forum member to enable some features.

When I bought my FL2, I added it to my gap tool as I still have my L322.
Cant remember what it cost but it was easy as to do (think it was overnight when I got the code to put into the IId tool after paying).

Thank all as I also have a nanocom it is model specific for 2.4 and 2.2. I though that the gap may have been the same.
