Hi all,

I want to run the stereo to power off my aux battery. Has anyone redirected theirs or know how to do it? If yes, some instructions would be very helpful.

Hi all,

I dare say that is way more complex than it should be - depending on the spec level, the head unit, the amp, the fibre interconnect thing, steering controls etc etc all have different power offtakes. On top of that, you will probably still be limited by the auto-off timer in the unit?

What dual battery system are you running? If you have a traxide, you effectively are running of the aux battery already for a percentage of the power draw?

At the risk of giving the answer to a different question, if you're looking for some music whilst the car if off, a bluetooth speaker paired to your phone may give a lot more bang for buck?

Long story short - almost impossible.

If you’d like some music when parked up, would recommend grab a “Boom” or equivalent BT speaker.

As per other replies, you would need to intercept power feeds to MOST, Amp, BT module and all the screen and controls which will need to be talking on CAN and MOST to even function.

And then, depending on the spec system you have - pulling 600+ watts (or higher) will quickly pull down even the largest of batteries within a few hours.
