Hi All,
anyone installed one of these or thinking of?
Just a moment... (https://zwnav.net/products/128g-tesla-style-android-10-radio-receiver-for-land-rover-discovery-4-lr4-l319-2009-2010-2011-2012-2013-2014-2015-2016-head-unit)
Would be keen for any feedback
Thanks

Bit the bullet - so far so good. Just need more time to configure and work out wiring for additional bits (sub, rear entertainment). Just need a decent value SIM
You tube and Alli express videos are not great nor VikNav where apparently the unit came from
anyone done this and have additional tips - would be appreciated!

Wow.
I'm cautious about what tech I buy that has gps, microphones and internet access... but this looks pretty cool.
Where are you up to? What's connected and works or doesn't?

And why would you be concerned with that unless you discuss things in your car pertaining the state or industrial secrets. Maybe you have read my wifes book.

Tesla [bigrolf][bigrolf][bigrolf]
nothing like a Tesla , what a con job .
But yes I've put these in a few of my cars and 2 of my grandkids cars.
For their first car they would not have any car that didnt have apple carplay and a screen that mirrored their phones, No other feature of the car mattered , so I saved their parents $5000 a pop so they could buy cheaper cars and I installed $350 head units. What is it with kids now , my first car was $300.

Show off! My first car was $40, and I had to lay-by it. [bigrolf]

‘Hi Disco4TT3,
‘’most connections done and working, looking for a decent data plan, tested 4G - works well. Looking for some info to connect Orem sub and also rear entertainment screens. Orem tv connection needs checking as it’s not working
very happy with this upgrade and what I’ve been able to do with Chinese videos for connection installation

Hi Gup,
I'm looking at something similar and am interested in your thoughts.....
This 10.4 inch unit (https://www.euronavigate.com/collections/discovery-4-l319-2009-2016/products/land-rover-discovery-4-l319-2009-2016-10-4-inch-tesla-style-horizontal-car-android-head-unit)
I'm wondering if the unit you have installed has a dual screen function that allows the OEM screen to be visible....? ie so you can use the OEM reverse camera options (tow hitch look down etc)
Did you also get the Climate Control unit from the same mob? how do you like it?
Thanks in advance

Hi Burgo,
There are a few different units but I think they all set up the same - just a matter of adjusting the settings. I got mine from Alliexpress, but the mob you have linked also does the retro look with the knobs like mine (I did look at them also and maybe their instructions/help will be better).
Mine came with the cables to connect the OEM rear camera which works great with the image (parking lines can be turned on or off), and even an image of the front and rear sensors that light up. The unit comes with an additional camera which I didn't install.
I added the climate control as a package - and that is a true plug and play and has the HVAC, seats, 4x4 terrain settings as well as the hazards and traction control as buttons. It works very well and I do like the "modern" visual look

NICE! Thanks Gup......yeah, I like the look of them too!
So, are you saying that when you select "Trailer" on the reverse camera screen the single line of the tow ball still shows up and also changes to the "Top Down" angle when you get close to the trailer itself..... all that still works no probs? Was that a feature in your 2010 SDV6?
I don't have the heated seats, but I was really hoping the climate control pack might provide the rear of dash equipment to enable me to retrofit something there.......otherwise it's sheepskin covers on and off each season, which works well enough I suppose.
Anyway, thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.
Kind regards

Hi Burgo,
Sorry - misunderstood - I only had the reversing camera - but again there are options in the settings menu specific to the options so the tow ball view maybe there to activate this. I will have a look at the settings and get back to you.

Unfortunately can't help with your outstanding jobs Gup. But sounds like you're well on your way and glad to hear you're happy with it!
