I am looking for recommendations on which Diagnostic Tool is the most suitable for a
recently purchased 2006 D3 V6 Petrol.
Something that is not extremely complicated to use as this stuff is a new era for me. ;)
Thanks in advance,
Cheers, Mick.

This has been covered a lot here so a search should give plenty of info.

To get you started, a D3 should have a fair bit of OBD2 compatibility.
If you only want code reading and clearing you should have plenty of options.

Thank you Shack,
but OBD2 itself is foreign to me.
To be honest I am not sure exactly what I want/need, but I suppose diagnosing any faults or issues
and having the ability to remedy them would be a base line need, as I always undertake my own servicing,
maintenance and repairs. Also are their any that also allow for coding new ignition keys as well?
Cheers, Mick.

Gap tool definitely does keys and really for someone that is fully maintaining their own vehicle is worth the cost, some Autel models also allow key coding i believe but have no experience with them.

I think the biggest advantage of the Gap is the wealth of experience in using it. It’s easier to get support when you know plenty of people who have already trodden that path.

Thank you,
I have made the move and ordered one (GAP).
Thanks to you, loanrangie and Shack for your assistance on this subject.
Cheers for now,
Mick
