View Full Version : Why can’t you get a 110 eight seater?

Ok, because it’s not available. Yes I am aware, but I don’t understand why not, aside from it cannibalises the 130 market.

If you can get the six seat variant via the jump seat, and a 5 + 2 variant, I can’t see why you can’t specify 6 + 2. I can’t see any technical reason for it.

And yes, with two 3 children families coming together, I need six seats for some time yet. I guess it’s a Kia Carnival and leave the off-road holidays behind.

I see what you mean. Did you ask the dealer? The 130 may suit you better with a bit of extra load space, but it would be a costly exercise.

No, haven’t asked. I was just perusing the internet for options and couldn’t understand why this obvious configuration was missing.

TBH I can’t really afford either so the point is moot [emoji1787]

My old 110 County was a 10-seater (or was it 11?)

2 in front, 3 in the second row, and two x 3 seats opposite each other in the rear.

I'd wondered the same thing - I don't need 8 seats, but you'd think that anyone who wants the front jump seat is likely to also want the two rear seats as well.

It probably concerns rated Gross Vehicle Weight and Front and Rear Axle Load ratings. The front axle is rated lower than the rear. A loaded jump seat at the front when combined with the added 2 rear seat load might when balanced exceed the engineering safety margins for the 110 front axle. The 130 rear when loaded is predominantly over the higher-rated rear axle due to the extended rear. It might not contribute much the the front loading. Just a guess.

The new 130 has an 8 seat option...

Yep, but I don’t want the 130. My question was, given the two seat configurations of the 110, it is possible to make an eight seater, but it’s not offered.
I think the best answer was the GVM of a 110 with eight people.
