Just trying to reverse out of mud when I've lost power to the wheels. Just a clicking noise with the tranmission heating up if revving. Going to recover it tomorrow. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240105/2dad32c215935e36774eec91bec89d68.jpg

Tried switching between high and low. Didn't try sports shifting as had two kids in the back

If you have a Gap tool you can try a TC calibration otherwise you may have busted a CV.

A busted CV would still give drive to the rear, as long as the t/c is locked, or does that not apply to D3/4?

Well that eliminates the "I hope it's only" scenario then.

Just guessing here, but sounds like the transfer box (centre diff) may have failed. This is a clutched system, so a recalibration may work, unless the clutch has burned out.

Could also be one of the propellor shafts, but then you'd still have drive to the front or rear wheels.

I made it back after a few winches and a snatch tow. It will drive in Rock Mode locking the centre diff.

After all the mud washed off the front left CV is busted which fits.
