Hi All
With the recent coolant crossover replacement and slight coolant leak, I've taken to checking live values on my Gap tool whilst driving. Depending on the type of driving and how often and long the hills are, I'm getting anything from high 80 deg C up to occasional 108 deg C after a long hill in 40 deg ambient temp.
Has anybody else taken to checking coolant temps with the live value option with their Gap tool, and if so are the temp variations I've logged normal?
Cheers
Goldey

Yes normal. I’ve seen mine up to 130 before I recall when towing in hot weather.

Actually that was the oil temps, but water was only about 10-15 lower

Sounds like it is measuring just fine, so the car will tell you if it’s abnormal won’t it?

It will. It has a wide range where it considers it “normal” operating temps.

Looked at this yesterday for a bit of fun on a 30 degree day was 87 coolant and 79/80 oil in normal city stop start driving.
