Hello All,

Does anyone know what brand and model organ starts to be played in the Eagles' song I can't tell you why at the 1:42 minute mark? Has the organ been tricked out to produce the awesome bass sound that it makes? Accessed 16 February 2024 from. Eagles - I Can't Tell You Why (Official Video) [HD] - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odcn6qk94bs&list=RDK4jdiJA2TtQ&index=4)

The Eagles were one of the bands that every time they came to Australia to play concerts I was always flat broke at the time. Same goes for a concert in a vineyards somewhere in the ACT that had a double header: Joan Armitrading and Boz Scaggs... heavy - heavy sigh!

Kind regards
Lionel

I couldn't have told you the instrument, but I did know that it was the well known guitarist, Joe Walsh, that played keyboards on that song. Quick search shows he played the Hammond, a Fender Rhodes electric piano, and a ARP string synthesiser, whatever that is.

You'd have to wonder what Joe saw in The Eagles,, except maybe $$$$ signs..
On first thought its not a great fit.. Decades later it seems not to have hurt anyones rep..

Not sure if they aged well, or if I did, but there are a few tracks..

Joe, OTH, needs to be loud... My 15" Tannoy HPDs like Rocky Mountain Way...

They're going to be hard to part with☹️
