Can anyone advise on their fitting of a Mitch Hitch or the AllfourX4 version on an L320 RRS? I have read somewhere (cant remeber where) that the rear bumper may need trimming. On a trial fit mine goes pretty much into place other than being a 1/4 hole out on the bolt going through the recovery point. I cant move the hitch back towards the vehicle any further so I am guessing it may need the lower bumper trimmed to allow it all to move slightly...
Hopefully someone will have some feedback or pictures of one fitted to an L320... plenty fitted to a Disco but it isnt quite the same.

The only trimming required is to the recovery point cover - needs to be cut in half and trimmed. You will have it removed anyway to fit the hitch.

I took my hitch off the D3 when I rolled it, and refitted it to the L320 with no issues.
I don't remember trimming anything.
And pardon the dust in the hitch, it had been sitting for a while.

Thanks very much for the pics... I will have another shot at it on the weekend. Maybe mine needs a bit of a touch up on the recovery point as it is a very tight fit even without the inner rings being fitted.
Out comes the Dremel and some carboard for a template to cut the cover.
I will make sure I post up some pics when I get it done.
I guess I will need to sort out some spacers for the inner reverse sensors as well... I wonder if there is an stl file to 3D print them? Might have to search thingiverse :)

Bunnings is your friend. Cut 1/3 of the stickers out as shown and stick to the sensors - so the tow bar side of the sensor is covered.

That's an interesting point about the reverse sensors.
I put half covers over them on the D3 which worked most of the time. On the L320, I've done nothing and everything works just fine!!!!!!

With the tow hitch in the receiver, my sensors always sound off - rarely when it is out. With the trimmed protectors stuck over the sensors, they do not pick up anything from the tow bar but still pick up items behind the car when reversing.

I'm sorry but I'm sure I've read somewhere, can't remember where, that that hitch has a lower towing rate than the 3500 stated,, coz I was thinking of fitting one.

Not sure where you heard that from - maybe a knockoff - certainly the genuine item is 3500Kg/350Kg and it has the govt sticker to prove it.
