Looking for some input on a Winch\Bar for my 90 Puma. I had thought the ARB "Winch Bar" was a goer (this is the one without the hoops - basically a bumper replacement), however the only electric winch it seems to take is a "VRS" brand, rather than my preference, a WARN. I could be biased but I've had WARN winches on multiple cars over the last 35 years and have had zero problems with them, so am reluctant to change.

Anyways, does anybody have any input on what winch-bar would be suitable? I'd be keen to see photos of any setups you have.

Thanks

I thought that in general all winch mounts were standard. Can't see why the Warn won't mount to an ARB bar. Doesn't make sense to limit consumer choice in that way, and all ARB bars I have had ( admittedly not on new model cars ) have accepted Warn, Ironman, Tigerz, Kings, and my likely next choice, Sherpa.

Imperial size bolt pattern is 10" x 4.5", or 250 x 110 mm. I think even ALDI winches meet that. Think the only thing that could be a problem would be space behind the bar.

Are you sure a Warn doesn't fit? That really surprises me, especially considering ARB's long association with Warn. I also didn't think winch bar specific, apart from the high mounts. I really would have expected the XD9000 to fit. The chassis rails are often the limiting factor, but the XD9000 should fit between the chassis rails.
