Not starting after replacing inlet manifold

My sdv6 not starting after inlet manifold replaced by local mechanic. Currently charging the battery over night in case it needs full charge battery.

No leak from injectors pipe as well.

Anyone could give us pointers what to look for next? Thanks

Assuming you’re suggesting you and the mechanic are struggling to start it (I won’t go into whether this mechanic knows anything about a Land Rover), when I did mine it took a long time to get the high pressure fuel system going, which ate the battery, and despite it cranking, there wasn’t enough voltage to get it to start. I ended up ordering a new battery as even charging it couldn’t get it done.

Also even a microscopic leak will bleed off enough pressure for it not to start. You said this wasn’t an issue so I trust you.

They run at stupid pressure and use very small amounts of fuel to obtain that. Yes a small leak will kill the pressure and if the pump doesn’t get the pressure in the gallery it’s commanding, it won’t start because it won’t begin firing the injectors.

Triple check you have no leaks. I assume you didn’t replace the injector pipes as per the manual, so even more need to ensure you have a good fit.

Don’t see any leaks even we put paper around it to see if there is leaks.

Can you actually see the leak if there is any?

Your issue is the fuel rail pressure versus desired. You can see it is asking for a lot and not getting any.

I assume you have bled the fuel line feed at the engine? Definitely got all fuel related plugs correctly seated?

Yes they seem seated fine. Now I am going to injector pipe replacement. Hopefully that’s all.

I’ve seen it twice before, for no reason where a reflash of the ECU was required to get it to go. Happened to mine at my Indy as well as with a mate.

I assume you don’t have the tools to reflash the ECU?

Can it be done using gaptool? I do have gaptool
