Come on Ian, I couldn't do that to a fellow AULRO member.

Just a note to thank Roger and Judy for taking the time to meet up with us yesterday evening. A good time was had by all concerned. A well travelled couple would be putting it mildly. Roger is a very interesting man to talk to. Fair enough we were not sitting around a camp fire yarning. Restaurants take a dim view of you lighting a fire on the floor in the middle of the restaurant, something to do with health and safety but all of the ingredients were in place for a nice evening.
The language barrier turned out not to be a barrier after all.
Just to add a little clarity here, I am the youngest person in the photograph.

I would never break the sacred seal of the AULRO CAMAREDERIE secrecy clause. However I could be tempted with this

Thank ( insert deity of your choice ) for that. I'm sick of all this elbow bumping.

I am still trying to master the new AULRO CAMAREDERIE secret code before I reply to this. The Mrs has discovered my AULRO name so appropriate measures will need to be put in place.

Oops..... My humble apologies Spud............ did I let something slip the other night or was it exposed through 'womens talk'?

When I first enlisted with AULRO, my dear wife asked me as to the purpose of the forum.
I advised her that it was for "Socially challenged folk who have an affinity to all things Land Rover, as one of their idiosyncrasies".
The immediate loss of interest was apparent.
Perhaps a similar approach may work, Spudfan?

If I adopt that approach it could be counter productive. You see the Mrs thinks that I am unique. Letting her know that there are more "Socially challenged folk who have an affinity to all things Land Rover, as one of their idiosyncrasies". out there might destroy the illusion. It would be like buying a supposedly rare bottle of wine only to find out that it was on sale at the local supermarket. I think I will try to keep the mystique alive for as long as I can.[smilebigeye]

My wife said "Isn't it bad enough you have a Land Rover without reading of other people's?".

I can hear it now "Do you not have enough problems with your own?."
My reply "With you or the Land Rover?". (Actually this would be a mental reply, so unless she is telepathic I'd be safe enough.)
