Headlight replacement

I'm thinking that it might be time to replace the headlights on my RRS.
I'm guessing that after 13 years they will be past their prime - would that be reasonable????
If it is worth replacing them, do I stick with the standard Osram D3S globes, or are there improvements that have been made over time?
I'm seeing Night Breaker globes on the Osram web site.

i tried stedi bulbs, were whiter but not much brighter, so just installed a light bar in one of the lower grill intake duct spaces
the stedi started failing randomly , so am back on the originals now (osram) prefer whiter though...

Stedi HId replacements put out less lumens than the factory light at the cooler temp- less effective light, more glare but glare is perceived as brighter until you get out in the middle of nowhere and then it’s obvious it’s not!

Night breaker are great - worth the upgrade.

Whilst I ponder on new globes or not, I thought I'd try "polishing" the lenses, but there seem to be so many solutions, some of which seem to work for 12 months, and others that last a month.

What is the consensus of the best way forward.

I'm happy to take the lights out if that helps.

ive done the turtle brand kit and the repco one and then even some just fine wet and dry, i had yellowing, it lasted a year or 2, i used the uv treatment from the turtle kit after getting it all off. i see you can get lenses of aliexpress and id do that next time when tehy bad enough again. the lights come out pretty easy actually. (i cleaned / buffed mine in place)

I've seen the new lenses, but is their removal similar to the D4/D3 where they need to be baked to get the glue to unglue????

I bought a new set of lenses from ebay Aust just before Xmas from here For Land Rover 2005-09 Headlight Lens Cover Clear Lens Lampshade Headlamp Shell | eBay (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/235308400910) - mine were $154 free postage - came from China in less than a week over Christmas so pretty good.

My current lenses are very badly UV damaged but I want to try and fix them rather then use the new set but I expect to have to put the new ones on.

I looked into this for my 2007 RRS a couple of years ago - bought the replacement lenses and found a guy in Melbourne who does lense replacement professionally at Riteway Headlights = you can try Chris on 0417943977.

I eventually just imported complete new headlights from the UK - substantially cheaper than locally sourced. A little hiccup that they sent 2 LH headlights needing a return to the UK for one of the lights - complete PIA but the supplier was fine and covered all costs.

Sold the 2007RRS with the new headligts but do have the old set still sitting under my house on the Sth coast of NSW with renovated lenses (cut back lenses and a coat of clear by smash repair company) - let me know if your interested in the headlights and I'll dig out the part numbers noting I am not at 10 posts as yet so am currently blocked from PM's. Also have the replacement lenses noted above.
