3G network shutdown
2019 Discovery
I’m getting messages from Optus that my LG TL3HEB-E modem is 3G and will be closed down in September. This is the user modem.
I believe there is also a car modem that I know nothing about.
Is there anyway to update this modem, or modems and what is Land Rover doing about it?

Might just be worth contacting LR’s customer support centre and see what they say.

LR probably don’t care. I had a similar problem with my L322 when they shutdown the 2G network. In my car, I removed the in-car phone and installed Bluetooth.

I fear the response from JLR will be, "Oh, dear, what bad luck", but if you do get a response. please report back here.

Cheers

LR dealer has told me they don't know what will happen or if there will be a fix or software update. I have 2017 MY - I believe that after 2019 they are 4G ?

You probably have figured out that your L462 does actually have a 4G modem built in, or it would have not been able to be used after the end of October last year. Just saying
