Only a couple of days before I finish work up here and begin the arduous relocation to Esperance. Finish up Saturday night about 1800, drinks at 1900. Then best part of 5 days finishing off bits round the house, pack a trailer and head off. Found out yesterday that I will be fly in and out of Perth for the next couple of months. Wish they had told me that earlier.

So what doe's this mean. Well it means that I will probablly be on line infrequently for the next few months. Lots of work to do and no more tediously boring days and nights with plenty of time to be online.

Lots of expeditions around the Esperance area with our experienced D3 owners Jamo and Joan. Will catch up with you the following weekend Jamo if you are going to be in Perth next weekend, maybe, depending on trip to Kambalda or not.

Once we are settled in I should be fairly regular again. Most of the furniture etc and maybe the family will move down in the October school holidays. So anyone wanting to buy a nice house in the Kambalda area drop me a line.

On ya Jamo. Any team that canes Port Flowers has to be good in my books and if Freo do it even better. Hope they do so to the Weagles this weekend to.
Us well we have to lift, nothing short of dismal the last few weeks.
GO THE CROWS!!!!

How strong is the rental market there?

How strong is the rental market there?
It is fairly good. Good houses rent quickly. To be honest I would talk to the local real estate agent if you are thinking of an investment. There are some rentals unoccupied but these are generally dustbowls or townhouses(flats). Like any rental investment look into it carefully. The people along side us are renting a dustbowl for $180 a week, no lawn or garden, no patio, just a basic house. If I could afford to keep it and rent it I probablly would, but will need at least $100k for a deposit on a house in Esperance. It is hard to say with certainty anywhere what rentals will be like in the future, but there are quite a few investors from Melbourne and Sydney buying houses over here and it just has to be a matter of time before house prices jump substantially here. Neagative gearing would be an advantage, maybe.
Cheers

Okeydoke! We'll be going up Thursday, but I suppose that you'll be at work (or at least hanging around with the other Shire dudes, leaning on shovels etc!;) ) and so will Deb.

We're coming back Sunday, so might just see if you're home!
