Hi Everyone
I have a 1988 GS Perentie and my reversing and indicator lights have stopped working. They work off a common fuse so that was my first item to check. The fuse is good and there's definitely 12 volts getting to the fuse. As far as I can see the only thing these two systems share is the fuse, so I'm a bit confused why they would both stop working if the fuse is ok.
Has anyone got any advice?
Cheers

Slightly left field, but check any trailer plug wiring.
Even more left field, as Perenties are after my time, but does it have a Blackout switch? Used to have issues with those on IIAs

Perenties do have a blackout switch, left hand side. Knob 28.

A problem with the reversing light alone could be due to a faulty oil pressure switch. I'm fairly sure that the engine has to be running for the reverse lights to work.
Ahh, here we are:

Note the gearbox reverse switch in series with the engine switch.
However, as previously stated reversing and indicators have a common fuse, fuse 11, a 15A item. Did you check for voltage on both sides of the fuse with a digital voltmeter or a test lamp? DVMs have a very high input impedance, usually 10Mohm/volt and can give a "good" reading with just leakage current across a circuit as they don't load the circuit. I prefer my old analogue meters when chasing odd faults as they have a lower input impedance, e.g., 1000 ohms/volt or 20,000 ohms per volt.

Thanks for the advice both.
It turned out to be two totally separate issues that happened simultaneously, this combined with them coming from the same fuse had me confused for a while.
It turns out that the indicator issue was a dead indicator relay and the reversing lights was a dodgy connection associated fitting a 7 pin trailer plug.
All sorted now!
