Hello All,
Has anyone come across a generic and widely available 8 mm hole cable clip that secures the wires across the rear crossmember on a Defender 110? I can only find genuine parts in the UK that sell with currency conversion $12 AUD for a pack of 10 with a postage charge of $21 AUD.
Surely there must be a generic clone clip available locally!
If you do know of an Australian supplier for a clone of Part Number: AFU1090L could you please let me know. A part made out of plastic back in January 1993 has already seen a lot of sun and they have become very brittle. Look at them sideways and they break.
Postscript: I found some cable clips that look very similar on eBay however, its says that it is for 10 different Honda vehicle models - Not Land Rovers. At the cost of $15 Australian for a pack of 10 and free postage. If they are the correct part then straight off that is $21 AUD saved in postage and if it is the wrong part I have only lost $3 more than the UK parts would have cost me.
Meh - Let's throw the dice and keep our fingers crossed. Yes - there is a high stakes gambler pressing some keyboard keys right now. I will let you know how I go. The order should arrive here in early June.
Kind regards
Lionel
