Hi people,
I've tried a bit of a search, but can't find anything like we have here in NZ.
A friend is wanting to see the last recorded odometer for a Range Rover, based on it's VIN?
Are there free sites where you can do that? (We have Carjam, that lets us see the basics for free).
VIN is SALLSAAF3BA278444 - I think it was a statutory write-off at some stage.
Thanks
Allan.

Now of our roads Mobs will tell you what the odometer said last time it was roadworthy Vic roads wont anyway they seam to pride themselves on being pathetic. They cant tel you anything usefull about your car. Theres a 50/50 they even know if its been writen off. After I pluged a scan tool into my toyato that had 190K's on the odmeter and it said 450k's I went to vic roads and got told a bunch of useless bs.

If you know the registration plate, you can plug it into the Check Rego section of the Service NSW website and it will tell you the the odo since 2022

In the UK the information is picked up once the vehicle is old enough at the annual Inspection
A more complete data base is maintained by private companies who provide vehicle information. They pick up the data from various points eg when car is serviced (dealer or independent), break down call out, windscreen repair to name a couple
This has become necessary due to the high number of vehicles having their odometer wound back yearly. This being driven by vehicle value and mileage requirements for some car finance loans
