All,

Going to tackle replacing the 12S (white) plug with a 12Pin plug to suit the caravan, and leave the black 7 pin socket in place (all my other trailers have this plug). How have people wired the trailer wires (signals, brake etc) off the Black 7pin to the 12pin, have you just cut in and junctioned off the existing wiring loam, or run new wiring out of the 7pin socket to the 12pin. Any tips on this be much appreciated. Will be running a Taxride anderson to the rear at the same time also.

That wont work, the 12S socket doesn't have any wiring circuits for the lights except reverse.

I presume Fordy15 is planning to parallel the new 12 pin plug off the black 7 pin 12N plug and delete the white 12S plug.

Unplug both harnesses and pull the plugs forward so you have room to splice into the wiring, the sockets are potted so wire cant be removed from them easily.

Yes correct DiscoDB running parallel off the 12N plug and deleting the 12S. Thanks for the tip Loanrangie
