l405 rear differential lock

I would like to buy one of these vehicles with the rear diff lock fitted. Anyone know how this can be checked short of a dealer VIN check?

Either look at the left side of the diff to see if it has a flat plate with quite a long thin housing to the half-shaft (no ediff) or has a buldge housing the clutch plates with the half-shaft virtually against the clutch plate housing, or select a mud'n'ruts which should show a red rear diff if it's an e-diff, otherwise a green diff if not an ediff.
From MY17 all SDV8 have the ediff and IIRC all 5.0 SC from the earliest have the ediff.

Thanks for that. It looks like I've just bought one without the e diff, and I've yet to actually see the car, so that may be the first mistake of many with this car :(

I did note (doing some research) a few L405 SCv8 “50 th year anniversary “ don’t have the e-diff. Not sure why.
