My 1952 80" project is missing the front grill and badge.
What is the correct badge for this year?
Is it the black "Land Rover Sollihull" design
Or the smaller green one?

The pictures I can find suggest the smaller badge was used until the end of 80" production - but Rover was quite adept at changing this sort of thing without waiting for the new model! And this would have doubly applied to CKD ones such as those built in Australia.

Hmm, ok. Mine is an import.
I guess either could suffice. Just don't want to to look obviously incorrect.

Well, mine is an import (not CKD), and it has a large green coloured plate with: Land Rover Birmingham England cast into it!

I will say that the bloke that restored it did 3 others, and has now said he is not sure what he did to each one! So they could of been mixed up, but as this is in WA, and he did not do them all at the same time, I suppose that it could be correct.

52 model on used the inverted-T grille, held in place by the pressed Birmingham badge. Earlier Full and Lights through the grille grilles were held in place by two separate bolts
and the yellow on green cast alloy badge mounted separately on the grille.

That small green badge is a bit of a give away. The mounting holes for a big badge can be seen above the badge. I dont know if that is a photo of yours of course, but it does show what can and does happen.

That's really good info. So mine should be the pressed Birmingham badge.

That's not my photo, just one I found to illustrate. Yes, the two holes are a dead giveaway.

I managed to source a Birmingham badge on Facebook. Also got a Land Rover Australian one for my County!
I need a grill if anyone sees one come up.
Cheers
Nick
