Hi
Just received by annual insurance renewal for my 96 130 Defender from Shannon's.
It has gone up $200 from last year.
I have had no infringements or accidents.
I have it insured for an agreed value.
I have looked at Club 4WD, quote was the same BUT for market value only. (I'm sure that is alot less than the agree value I have)
Anyone use anyone else?

I've recently gone through exactly the same thing, Shannon's quote went up over $200 and the agreed value came down by $5k!
Club 4x4 will do an agreed value, but you need to provide them with lots of photos (links to expensive Defenders on carsales too!) to prove what its worth so they can get an assessor to agree the value.
There is another company I see advertising called Enthusiasts Insurance who may be worth a try. They seem to be more the old classic Torana, XY Falcon or heavily modified Jap turbo type of thing rather than 4wds though. Can't hurt to ask I guess.
In the end I stuck with Shannon's, a bit of negotiation on agreed value, plus a better deal on my Lightweight, made me agree to pay the new premium.

Thanks Diesel Dan
I contacted Club 4x4, they said exactly the same thing, would need photos and prove of the agreed value. Then would need to get it a proved by there assessors. I think I will stick with Shannon's.
