Hi all, there is a new show on the Lifestyle channel on pay tv on a friday night at 8:30pm about a group of blokes who muck around with various things and do cool experiments but what makes it better is they appear to be driving one of the new defenders, i havent been able to get a good look at it yet but it has the bulge in the bonnet, which happens to be covered with checker plate. Looks good. Matt

I originally saw the thread tittle and automatically thought the had come to take him away finally.
Then I saw Pay T.V and recollected all the times Ace say, can't make it, haven't got the funds to get to the Watagans etc etc etc.

Cut the cable Ace, mate we've found your fuel money. As for the doco's we'll there on SBS in a month or two anyway.:D

And I bet your thinking all the time, I wish I was there with them. Am I right.
I've had it three times, the guy came around to sell it the other month, I told "him sorry mate I haven't got time to watch T.V and if I do it's SBS or ABC", He replied "there's nothing on them channels", I looked at him and replied "your obviously not watching the world cup then are you", I then closed the door. SWMBO shouted "you can't say that to him", I replied "well I just did" I continued to watch the futebol.

If you don't have it you don't miss it. I don't have my Landy at the moment, I am missing that.

You bet, and I made it worse today by buying a 4by video to watch this arvo, that just made things worse ;) , mind you there was one Fender in there which made the dvd even better. Gotta go "Batman Returns" is almost on Showtime :D ,

Mate, if only you knew half the story Dobbo, it aint that simple. Im not going there cause i dont want to bore everyone again. Even if I had the money i cant 4wd every weekend so i need some motor sport to watch, and when im not watching that i watch the lifestyle channel and the how to channel, the Discovery channel, the science channel and the history channel. Pay TV is not to be knocked, if i could 4wd all the time i wouldnt need it but sadly i cant, and these days $20 a week doesnt get you far. Matt

I am stuck compteting with stacey because i like all the so called "boring" docos and she watchs crap like cheaters, Maurie, Simpsons (not to bad), Tyra Banks  yes i know its crap, but we need to share.

A TV in the bedroom, now thats a novel idea, could go well with the video camera:o

Seriously I think a box in the bedroom would be a bad idea. You'd never get out of bed once you had the bar fridge stocked.

At the moment its only hooked up to the dvd player  but pay tv would be good. No problem with me staying in bed, marcos takes care of that in the morning.

That said I have contemplated a TV in the room, as had one in there years ago, and it was never the same as sitting in the lounge. Same with watching a dvd on a puter, not the same. My preference, is lounge, plasma on, surround at full blast with the fire crackling in the background, beer in hand and the missus yelling "TURN IT DOWN" :D

Thats what I don't get, you have the surround sound personally I have a 6 channel amp too pwerful for the speakers so its doubled up and run 12 speaker setup with powered subs. I know too much but it's what I had to build it with.

I never get to play it I always get told to turn it down.

Why did I build it up in the first place if I can't play it load.

Mate dont you know the old stick your fingers in the ears and go la lalalalalalala, until she just gets the shoites and walks away  . Its only up loud when I am watching a dvd, and if she isnt home, watch out, the wooden floor boards vibrate through the house from the cinematic subwoofer, gunfire, screeching tyres etc etc. Though she has made me promise that once I have a few extra ( try alot extra) $$$$ that I turn the 3 car garage into "Stevo's Room" and I can set up my system down there, plus all the other boys goodies eg pool table, bar etc. Then she will be happier ;) , means I have to find a place for the brrmmms brrrrmmms too then I guess,

One of my mates has such a room and had it soundproofed, this resulted after his missus would'nt allow him to put a ported woofer in the cieling of the loungeroom. He has them in lounges and cannons and stuff allready.
