Just had fibre to the premises (FTTP) installed.

The two Indian chaps seemed happy enough to crawl (and I do mean crawl) from under the back of the house to the front to run the fibre to the place where the FTTC NBN modem was located.

However, had I known just how big and ugly the fibre modem was before they ran the fibre from the entry point, I would have had the modem installed near the cable entry point where it would be hidden. Too late now.

The other issue is that the modem isn't square, it's slightly canted. My wife can even see it and she knows it's going to annoy the hell out of me. I might have to unscrew it from the was and remount it.

I've just run a speed test. On FTTC, I was getting 105Mbps, of FTTP, I'm getting 53Mbps. [biggrin]
