Hey Guys, Recently took delivery of a 2018 D5 HSE with sunroof. While doing the cleanout/testing of the drains and rubber treatment yesterday I came across this crack. Not sure what is under the plastic panels and how it drains once water gets in there but definitely going to fix this asap. I cant see any moisture or leaking inside the car which is good. My assumption is its just roof under there?

I'm thinking I'll fix it similar to a gelcoat repair where we mask around it fairly close then fill/glue it. Cause its like a mirror there isnt much room for error so making it look **** wont be hard. But its on the roof so........

What would you use to fix this? Something like this looks perfect but cant get it in Aus by the looks of it. https://industry.sika.com/en/home/automotive-aftermarket/auto-glass-replacement/auxiliaries/sikafast-2590.html

Or does this even need to be fixed?

Cheers.

Here is one Australian retailer that has it listed: SikaFast-2590, universal super adhesive, 10ml, 2 component adhesive | SIKA Sealant & SIKA Adhesive | Motorhome Accessories & Motorhome Technology | Camping Shop | Reimo Australia (https://shop.reimo.com.au/camping-shop/motorhome-accessories-motorhome-technology/sika-sealant-sika-adhesive/6581/sikafast-2590-universal-super-adhesive-10ml-2-component-adhesive)

Good luck with the repair.

Nah it’s on the roof and can’t be seen. Not worth the trouble/hassle/money but I get where your coming from.

Thanks for the tip Narranga!
