Looks like I'll be arriving in Perth and from there on is still up for debate. I have a list of things to do and see but it's quite the puzzle figuring out what needs permits, what is open when etc.

It'll be fine mate :) I'll either not be around for long since we got "only" a year or my landrover might break down [bighmmm]

Why not start a thread with your must dos, like to dos, etc. and ask for suggestions. Many of us know of places that will never be found in the blurbs.

Live in Fremantle and happy to meet for a coffee et al and suggest a few places in the west after a 50 year career both in the city and north of the state (plus visiting all other states/territories at least once).

Well that's a bit of a bummer... Probably some ceremony going down nearby or something but not too friendly.

I think they did well to move on, would probably have made the same call although my usual routine would be to smile and talk.

In any case, here I was thinking that starting down undah would be great since it's a first world country with one currency and one language we master, should be a lot easier [bighmmm]

Thanks for the heads up though mate! We were pouring over the maps and jotting down some places to visit, probably should check if there is any known unrest in the areas or known activities that we could disturb by that time. Perhaps ring ahead or something?
