My 87 County is goodness awful tight between the air filter, the turbo and the a/c. I was going to do a bit of turbo cleaning earlier via Wynn's spray turbo clean, but without performing major surgery can't really get to the air intake between the turbo and air filter, which got me to wondering, out of curiosity, has anyone replaced the 4bd1 air filter cannister setup with something else to improve access and if so, with what?

(For those who will advise to just takeout the a/c, that is something I'm not considering, but it would make for much easier access and maintenance for a number of things).

Thank you in advance for any insights.

A County with working aircon!

Is it the same filter set up as the Perentie?

It is the dual filter cannister, yes, but piped the other side from your photo (unless your photo was inverted?). I'm wondering if anyone has done something other than the standard cannister they came with and how that went if so?

PA - working AirCon due to help from Bearman who was able to help me with an unused spare a few years ago so I could cobble together a working edition. (Thank you again sir!)

Most don't have the turbo, and once it is added, the situation is, as noted, very tight - even without aircon!
