My instrument cluster died. Well, it was usable, but then I took it to a highly rated instrument repair shop and then it was completely dead. The replacement is installed and working, but that leaves me with an old, dead one. Is there any use for it? Seems a shame to throw it out given that it's probably 90% OK, and they're quite expensive.
I guess the other option would be to tear it down and cut my digital electronics repair teeth :-)

Couple of really good yters to watch if you choose that route would be buyitfixit or mymatevince.

I've got a use for it. Mine's a UK import with the dual mph/kph speedo. The kph is on in inner ring in small font and yellow and my aging eyes struggle to read it at a glance, so I'd "upgrade" my working cluster to a proper kph speedo :)
The odometer is also in miles, but that'd require farting around with the eeprom and I'd be wary of bricking it. Miles I can cope with.

If you can pick it up or pay shipping, it's yours!
