i read somewhere that the L405 SDV8 2019 Autobiography had an activity key actuator built into the rear tailgate - it seemed to suggest that it may be for USA and Euro markets only - not sure if true or not and whether being Oceania it is the same basic build on the line?

Is there a way to find out what is required to get an activity key wristband and then have the Key configured? or would I be going for the actuator the wristband and the configuration to get it working.

The problem is that as the key fob is proximity and electronic its a bit har to lockup and go surfing or swimming when solo.

If you use a combo key safe its 'in proximity' and I can't find one big enough to fit anyway - Plus you would need a faraday pouch to stop the signal once in the keysafe.

Technology is working against me as handy as it is.

Does anyone know in more detail the story on the actuator and rest of the setup
OR
a large keysafe sufficient to fit a RR Keyfob in a pouch?

Thanks in advance?

The L405 could be different though.

I have seen the part but am trying to find out whether you need an actuator and configuration .. more the actuator in the tailgate. Not sure how you find out if its in the build or whether you have to have it installed too.

I have found a larger keylock and suitable proximity blocker bag which I will get for the short term. Just a bit worried about being able to smash it off in isolated spots - get the key and go.

Hopefully some FFRR guru may know if the actuator in in the build.

Cheers

I have been quoted around $4,500.00 for an activity Key to be fitted to the L405 autobiography. This includes the key wristband, Actuator, a couple of modules, and configuration by technicians and off you go.

This is a bit expensive but consider if you want to go surfing and don't want to leave a key on the beach it only leaves this or a keysafe setup.

Or the keysafe with the keyless entry disabled can work but its a bit tricky to turn off and on IMHO. fullfatrr.com - View topic - How to disable keyless entry (https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic66550.html)
