Radio/ Apple car play upgrade

Hey group, first post.
I’m looking at upgrading my 08 110 with a new head unit with apple car play, reversing camera etc.
has anyone got any recommendations or experiences?
Have you installed one yourself?

How much do you wanna spend???
You can splash out for something like the Stinger Heigh 10, which includes a new centre dash portion to house the 10" screen. I don't think these are available locally and are about £800 from somewhere like Mud UK, so in the region of at least $2k by the time it's landed here.

There's also plenty of double DIN centre dash conversation kits available if you want to go down that path.

I have an Alpine Halo 9 single DIN unit fitted to my 110, which has worked out great so far. I managed to get hold of the old, wired carplay/android auto version which was about half the price of the new wireless version.
There's plenty of videos on YouTube showing how these are fitted. I watched a few of these but the instructions and installation are pretty easy. You just have to bear in mind that some of the switches become hidden from view, particularly the hazards, so worth relocating. Mud UK sell new housing for these. You may also need an ISO bridging harness.

I wired in a cheapo Parkmate reversing camera which turns on when in reverse but I couldn't be bothered patching into the trigger wiring on the audio unit so I have to select the 'camera' function on the screen if I actually need to use the camera. Hardly a deal breaker and I've coped so far!
