I have quite a worn driver side seatbelt from where it's clearly been regularly slammed in the door catch. Does anyone know if these belts can be repaired/patched/stitched, or is it time to drop hundreds on a new belt assembly?

It’s illegal to “repair “ seatbelts I’m afraid.

You can buy new retractable belts for well under $200, I doubt at that price a repair would be economically viable, even if it was legal.

Thanks both. Where have you seen them well under 200? Cheapest aftermarket I've found is $230 at AllFourx4.

You can legally repair seat belts.

I use: Seatbelt Solutions (https://seatbeltsolutions.com.au/)

Now, that IS interesting. Especially as they are in the land of Regulation, Victoria. I wonder if they are cheaper than a new one in this case.

Did you click the link, John? From $150.00 to reweb is not cheaper than new generic belts, but reasonable if OEM look is important.
When was Welshpool moved to Victoria? That would have been a heck of a job, why wasn't I asked to help?

Think I paid less for TWO for the OKA. Yes, generic.

Welshpool? Easy mistake to make in my feeble condition.

I can receive texts, Ian, but I can rarely respond. Unless the sender has the sense to have an iPhone, when texts are sent by iMessage over the internet.

I had an iPhone once, but then I saw the error of my ways.
