View Full Version : GAP IID tool - live values - engine power/kw

I am playing around with my GAP IID tool at the moment, mainly to monitor transmission oil temp when towing. Figuring I might as well have a few values up, I thought I would also look at the coolant temp and 'engine load'. I have found how to see the current torque (in nm) but could not find current power (presumably in kw). Is that an option, or is there no point as current torque is closely aligned to current power?
thanks

thanksInteresting question
Current torque will only be an estimate (obviously) and it will be set by an engine torque output map.
There will be a reference torque amount set in the tune, then the estimated percentage of that will be used to calculate output.
You can easily work out estimated power output if you want, bit on not sure the GAP tool has the math.

Thanks. I am only after a relative assessment of how hard the engine is working, so it sounds like the current torque will be good enough for my needs.
