For the last 45 years I've been using these or similar tools to split hard wood logs every winter to feed our wood stove.
I am now thinking about buying an electric hydraulic log splitter.. Does anybody on this forum have 1st hand experience with the
BAUMR-AG 20 tonne HPS 4500E log splitter ? Pros/cons etc. See here

Wally, I have this 12 tonner which has done me well for several years. Before that I had a chinese pull type that broke a pull rod and bent the ram.
Bought this and it does me well

A while back I tried it on some dead Iron Barks that were 400 odd ml in diameter. It didnt like those ,so I bought that big petrol one that works horizontally or vertically. I towed it to the site, broke them down a bit then bought them home in the trailer and finished them of with the 12 tonner.
