hey guys, so my FL2 has been for a while now, going into limp mode when i need to accelerate quickly or just need a bit more than the, usual power, but a few times it has just completely shut of and I've lost all power including power steering in the middle of a 4 lane busy tunnel. i originally put it down to heat as the car would get hot and the turbo would not engage and i had a powerless 4 cyl diesel, until it cooled down a bit so in summer i drive with the heater on full and it keeps the heat in the engine down a lot, i was told a while ago that an aftermarket non LR fuel pump can cause such issues but i never looked into it as winter hit and the problem went away, the car does run hot though its almost always at the middle mark on temp gauge. we had a cyclone here a few weeks back and on average it was around24 degrees for a month no issues, but now its gone and its back to hot an humid mid 30's and the issues have again appeared.
thanks in advance for your replies.

More likely to be fuel pump related than turbo as a turbo is just a turbine driven by the exhaust gases that compresses the inlet air. Down on power sounds like fuel starvation or limp mode. Which fault code/s does it bring up?

It is a Diesel yes?

I'd be checking your boost hoses. I have a 07 diesel that has split firstly and hose that goes onto the throttle body and a year later the discharge hose from the intercooler under the drivers headlight.

I also fixed a XF Jaguar with the TD4 with a split hose to the throttle.

Same symptoms, if you drive around easy it is fine but as soon as you put the boot into it, it goes into limp mode until you turn it off and restart.
