The time has come for the driveway to be graced with a Landrover :)
On Tuesday night I called a guy about a Discovery and at 2am this morning it was in my driveway having come all the way from Sydney.
This car is in fantastic condition. No rust I can see and only a few small dents with near perfect paint. The interior looks almost brand new :o
It's a 1994 update manual V8 with 156000 kms in base model trim plus:
ARB winchbar and Warn 8000lb low mount winch
John Davis computer power upgrade
Little spotlights front and rear
Towbar
Redone roof lining and dash top
CD player and all new speakers
Alarm
Dual batteries
GME UHF
Compressor under passenger seat
Rear cargo drawers home made but very well done
Factory mags with 255/70 16 H/T looking tyres
Factory cruise control
Lifted King springs and Bilstein shocks
Roof racks
It also came with:
Snatch strap
Tree protector
Winch pulley
Rated shackles
3 way fridge
Bunch of new spare service parts
Thanks go out to everyone for helping with info and looking at cars. I really appreciate it.

In my best nasally voice "please explain"

I was originally wanting the manifold tank on the cargo floor but I like the drawers so maybe twin gas underneath tanks with sill tanks for fuel might be the go.
I'll just drive it for a while as is and see how it goes. I've got a rear locker to fit and I'm going to look for some off road tyres and steel rims to suit in about 32in size. That should keep me busy for a little while :)

Thanks mate. We have a club trip next weekend but hopefully I won't need the winch :D
But then again with those tyres...
I forgot that it also came with Vol 1 and 2 of the Disco repair manual in two binders. The photo on the front looks the same as the RAVE CD I have. Maybe it is the hardcopy version? Will be good to carry in the car I reckon.

I'm certainly looking forward to finding out this cars limits. Although I think given my limits it might take a while.
The locker is the proceeds of a 4wdtv prize. Well half of it was anyway.
The Rodeo is sort of gone. I sold it to our family business and it is now the workshop ute for our timber mill. We needed a reliable 4wd ute for the workshop and I just happened to have one
I sold it for more than I paid for the Disco so I have room to move with accessories down the track I suppose.

That GPS holder you see on the dash came with the car too. I just discovered that my Garmin Etrex clicks into it perfectly
I thought I was going to have to use a rubber band to keep it in place.
Another thing I didn't realise about these Landies is that there is syncro on reverse. The seller showed me and was proud as punch saying only Landies had it.

Just for interests sake I just calculated that I got 14.81L/100kms between Sydney and Brisbane. I expected 16L/100kms so I'm happy. That is with those roof racks on and not much aircon use as it was so bloody cold anyway. Glad to be back in Qld :D
Just went and bought some 4mm ID hose for the extended diff breathers from Bunnings for $3.96. Will give me something to do during the week other than work
