Fitted some JW speaker canbus suitable LED globes to the parking lights, parkers work fine but getting a fast flash on the left indiactor.
I didn't touch the indicators or any other part of the light so not sure why that is, anyone had this before ?

Fast flashing used to indicate one of the indicators is not working on one of the sides. If you walk about the car, are all of them working? Sorry, I’m sure you’ve checked that, but worth repeating.

Well that was an easy fix, when i pulled the light out the plug just slid right out so wasn't clipped in properly [bighmmm].

Which ones did you get? As I was thinking of doing the same as my left front one keeps blowing, at first because someone hadn't inserted it properly so it melted the plastic a bit, so wouldn't go all the way in and thus overheated. I cleaned up the hole with a drill bit, but now I think it's too loose, so has the same problem. I thought led might run cooler, but didn't know the park lights to be canbus compatible.

These are what i fitted, nice bright output and updates the old D3 a bit from the old yellowish globes.

I bought the LED indicator lights at Autobarn on Saturday as they were having a 25% off everything sale, which I see has turned into a 30% off selected big brands sale yesterday and today for their members, check your emails for details.

For $1.53 for two with free shipping it'd be worth taking a chance.
Hunt around on there and there will be many options.

I've just ordered some H7 Phillips globes from AliExpress at a fraction of the local price. At the end of the day wherever you buy them from they are made in China.......

LED indicators don't play nice in a D3 so i hope you meant parkers.

Wow, I paid $15,74 and would've paid $21,00 without the 25% discount.

Correction…

You ordered some knock offs from Ali.

They may all be made in China, but the component grade and QA/QC are vastly different.

You know that for a fact ?
The H7's purchased here are made in China. Next time I replace a H7 I'll fit an AliExpress one and see how it lasts.

Setting up a factory to produce globes would be an expensive proposition, more likely I'm buying globes destined for the Chinese market.

At the prices I'm paying it's a worthwhile, low investment, gamble. In fact, I don't even think it's a gamble......

Mind you, you do get some fancy packaging to throw away. There's a large percentage of the price difference.

True, but if you had to claim warranty on the JW globes it'd be interesting to see how you got on.

For electronics - yep - Fact... Components are graded.

Next you'll tell me that the Sandisk SD cards from Aliexpress are genuine units too [bigrolf]

Your purchase may be perfrect for your requirements, I never disputed that - but dont fool yourself into thinking its a listed brand product... At best, itll be the rejects from the listed "brand" manufacturer.

So you're suggesting light globes are graded ?
I doubt that you are correct but I'll see how I go, as I stated before it's a low cost gamble.

It’s not a globe.
It’s a collection of electronic components.
They’re all graded.

I’ve had cheap LED ‘globes’ and high quality versions.
The cheap ones fail (usually start blinking) quite quickly.
The higher quality ones are going strong years later.

Your mileage may vary!

The H7's ordered are incandescent.

The only LED's I've ordered are for the instrument panel, I'll see how they go.

I can't comment on CanBus globes as I don't have anything that 'modern' so don't have a need. There must still be an opportunity to buy the globes at Chinese market price which will be much, much lower than the Australian price, the problem will be finding a trustworthy seller.
