I'm starting on the rebuild of my 1952 1.6l engine.

The only info I have is the workshop manual. I've been looking online for written info, rebuild guides, or videos, but there is surprisingly little about.

I'm also looking for recommendations for machine shops in Melbourne who have experience doing these type of engines. This mob look ok but seem more focussed on american/aussie engines. So the head is off, everything stripped except crank and pistons.

The bores look ok to me, no major scoring or ridges.

The pistons are 0.040" oversize so it's been bored before and it's at the limit for re-boring. What are my options here? If the bores are still in spec can it just be honed and use the existing pistons? Or should I be looking to re-sleeve?
