Last week SWMBO said don't be late home friday night, I have one of my "magical mystery tours for you"

Got home earlier than usual for a friday, waited, waited then around 10is she said "shower, good clothes, we'll leave soon.

Left home 10.30 told to close my eyes for the duration of the car trip. My knowledge of the roads told me we had travelled to Perth but I lost it from there, (What entertainment starts at midnight anyway?).
Car stops we are at airport........catch midnight rattler to Melbourne.

Arrive Tullaramine about 5.15 then to Crown Casino for breakfast.

Decide to waste $10 on the machines (yes I know, last of the big spenders!) at the 4 dollar mark...........jackpot! ...........$454 richer!

Strolled along the banks of the Yarra with all the mud on top of the water, took a free tram ride around the city went to take some pictures of the MCG and lo and behold she produces 2 tickets for the Eagles game!

First time at the MCG since 1956, what a venue! It truly is magnificent!

Eagles win well. Back to airport, leasurely tea and return home at 11pm.

I feel like we were away for a week we packed that much in

A truly remarkable day

Hey Richard...

Now you just need to get SWMBO to give you 2 days over here next time...

1 day at the G

and 1 playing in the Vic Mud... I'm sure there would be a few volunteers here to take you out...:twisted:

Cheers, Mark

ps.. I'm with Andy on this one... what's the trick to being treated like that:eek:

Holy shizer, nice work from wifey. Sounds like a great day. A lot of my family live in both Melb and around Perth. Must have been a surprise to get on a plane that late on a fri.
