Anyone replaced a JDM Pioneer carrozzeria AVIC-HRV002 Navi unit

I have a 2008 JDM Freelander 2 SE that comes with a stock LR radio (The speaker says Alpine) and a stock (for Japan) Pioneer Carrozzeria AVIC-HRV002 Navi unit. The radio has a band expander so I won't mess with it (although it does not get AM radio at all), but the Navi unit is useless.

Has anyone replaced it? All I really need is a comparable size screen to mirror my Pixel 9 XL Pro phone for Google Maps and Spotify, as well as hands free phone. I can rig it with Bluetooth Aux, but I would rather upgrade if there is a proven solution.

FL2 uses the same dash fascia kit as a D3 and adapter harnesses are available from Aerpro/connects2.
Not sure if they use a fibre optic on the head unit when sat nav is fitting.
