Hello All,
Can anyone please identify a mirror head part for me? I have been online hunting for a part number for one of the components that fix the mirror head to the mirror arm. The mirror head is held in place by an allen screw an aluminum female socket with a fork that fits under the mirror arm's ball. A female nylon ball shaped socket then fits underneath the fork and allen screw tightens into the mirror base. I am after the part number for the nylon female socket. As the allen screw tightens up the nylon gland progressively squeezes between the mirror head ball and the mirror. This makes the mirror head tight and not flapping around in the breeze.
Apparently this nylon spacer is left off the exploded parts diagrams I have been able to find online. Are there any tips and tricks about tightening the nylon spacer or finding the part number and ordering a new one?
Otherwise, I will track down some copper foil from a plumber suppliers or a craft shop and use it as a possible shim. More than one way to skin a cat.
