Apple car play upgrade Discovery sport 2017

Hi All

New to site an apologies, i am sure this has been asked may times. I am moving to Sunshine coast but will be in Spring Mountain area of Brisbane fora few weeks prior. Need to replace head unit with Apple car play as existing sat nav is shocking and also glitches out every few hours. Have seen Tonnes of aftermarket on the internet but do not want to do the install myself. I wrote to Navi plus but no reply. Can you kindly recommend someone in my area that could offer supply and install. Any help greatly appreciated.

Agree, the Sat Nav is terrible but that was on the basis that it hasn't been upgraded/paid for? & assuming there is some out dated subscription or whatever from the previous owner. I bought a 2015 DS one year ago

Is it worth updating/subscribing to the existing Sat Nav?

I have a TomTom Sat Nav which I like & their mobile apps & frankly don't like driving in our big cities without an absolute minimum of two gps & preferably three with live traffic as I find they are often vague with directions & differ with routes. So that's my partner & I both navigating with a TomTom & 1 or 2 Google Maps going on the phone or at least comparing the different routes & selecting which I prefer.

Is that the best option to replace the Head Unit or can I just install Apple CarPlay &/or Samsung Auto on the existing unit.

I'm a bit of a techno dinosaur so the simplist solution the better. A friend will install it for me.

Reach out to Cambo from Old Jaguar. He has a kit that retrofits CarPlay to the factory system.
