I can't recommend enough having a good diagnostic tool on hand for fault finding and troubleshooting. I was so naive in the beginning and probably wasted a lot of time and money [bawl] but now I’ve found that having a tool like the Nanocom has been an absolute godsend.
It’s made a world of difference in helping me pinpoint issues with my vehicle before they turned into expensive repair bills.
Read fault codes, monitor system performance, and getting detailed insights into what’s really going on with my car has saved me from being charged for unnecessary work and given me the confidence to take on repairs myself, or at least have an informed conversation with the mechanic about what’s really needed. There are a few diagnostics to choose from and its really worth the investment.

Perhaps. But my Rovacom IQ stopped working a couple of years ago and the cost of sending it back to Cyprus was prohibitive, so it's sitting in a drawer somewhere. I already had a Nanocom so I get by with that.

At least you got yours working - I never had any success with mine, which is also sitting on a shelf. So disappointing after Colin's initial efforts on this site.

I sold my first Nanocom, a decision I came to regret. I have another one now. If you have a D2 or a P38 there isn’t much else.

This post smells a bit scammy to me given its the first even post ... Its not as easy as just reading codes, the understanding of what codes to ignore also matters. I have poogoes here and have purchased in the past a manufacturers clone diagnostic system for them. The errors and codes returned can be volumous and leave you at a loss. If you jump on the forums and find somoene that works at a dealers or specialists, they will see the errors you have and know from experiance what the likely issue is. This experiance is hard earnt though.

There is a reason why nearly every car I've even owned is pre-electronics crap. As soon as cars have gone to CAN bus type wiring where everything is controlled by the body computer rather than simple on/off switches ........ repairing becomes horrendously difficult. This complexity isn't really to improve the cars either, its to simplify and cheapen the production of modern cars while meeting the more stringent regulations strangling the automotive sector.

You'll find a wealth of information here and a heap of knowledgeable people who will take the time to assist you. But, you did not introduce yourself or give us any background, so we had no idea of the genuineness or otherwise of your post.

Might I suggest not trusting the AI chat bots too much, If you have a nanocom IMHO its well worth the effort to get the appropriate RAVE or relevent workshop manual for your vehicle which should have the valid codes.

Don't read into my post, what is not there. You cannot deny your first post reads like an ad. If we knew more about you, we may not have considered that.

Went for an off road session round the Akamas and now my seat belt sensor keeps triggering and go into limp mode. Tried the usual clean, checked the buckle and the sensor looks ok. Can't see how a bit of a rough drive would split the wiring any suggestions?
Got another trip planned in 9 days and don't fancy off roading in the D3 so want to get it sorted asap

trace back the seat belt connector to its multi plug you'll possibly find its corroded and the vibration has upset it, flip it apart, carefully grease the pins and sockets with an electrical grease and reassemble. its also worth following up the earth connections to the BCU and every other earth you can get your hands onto.

I really enjoy this forum as there can be, er, "very robust" discussions without name calling. I've never struck that on any other forum (the EV thread is a good example of this). People should be able to discuss topics where they are at completely opposite ends of the spectrum in there beliefs, without abuse and having the threads deleted by moderators (I moderate on other forums, we have never managed to have an EV type thread last more than a few days without it being locked due to bad behaviour).

The subject of this thread is what made me thinking immediately "scammer/spammer". It could be just a language barrier thing though :)
