A mate's Model 'A' needs it's front spring heated and reshaped. Would anyone here have any recommendation as where to get this done? Preferably North Brissie/ Sunshine Coast area.

I had a set of holden springs reset years ago by Pedders so might be worth a call.

Spring Master, northside area. There is not much they don't know about leaf springs.
They sorted them out on the Ranger we have with the supposedly HD suspension, that was not HD,but that is another story, and a rip off by the manufacturer.

A bloke I knew years ago, who knew a bit about such things, maintained that special equipment was not needed to reset leaf springs. He even advocated putting them in the sun on a warm day with a load on them sufficient to give the desired set.

My first car over 60 years ago was a 29 Model A. I reset the springs cold over a log with a sledge hammer.
