Samsung Alternative Launcher to One UI

Hello All,

What alternative "launchers" are you using on your Samsung phones? Mine is a A53

The latest update of One UI automatically changed the way I can turn my phone off to starting Bixby instead - also the display appearance of time on the 'Lockscreen". I figure that I actually want to decide how the phone I paid for outright actually performs and operates.

According to the internet ONE UI cannot be removed - more is the pity! The suggested solution was to download an alternative program. The proviso is that Nova Launcher is no longer being supported or developed by the owner.

What alternative launchers are available that allow you to maintain control of how your phone is configured and functions?

Hello All,

A bit of an update - a non One U1 version, that is.

After hours online and multiple attempts I have managed to get my power off button selection and the time display on Lock Screen how it used to be. As in the way I want them to be.

The sly sods disable the 'Done' button when you go to "edit lock screen". I lost count of how many times I made the style preference - then only to find the new One U1 selected default display coming back up. Yes, the display that I had not chosen to change. The update did it.

The only way to get the clock display choice to function is to get the "Done" button working again. To do this you have to change it to a different wallpaper that shows the 'Done' button highlighted. Then once the wallpaper has changed to an active 'Done' button go back into "Style" select the preferred format of clock display and click "Done". Then you can go back to "Style" go back to your old choice of wallpaper and the "Done" should be active again. Press the "Done" button and things should be back to how you wanted them before the crappy One U1 update.

I am still very interested in finding alternatives to One UI.

I use smart launcher....
