View Full Version : Subscription Renewal for Online Plans

I have three subscriptions:



Connected Navigation Pro
Online Pack with Data Plan
Remote


The first has just renewed automatically extended out to Jan 27.
The second is due to expire 1 Feb 2026.
The third expires 1 Dec 2026 and appeared to renew automatically.

The renewal process appears to be random and done without notification.

Can anybody shed light?

Hi, did you get the online data plan renewed?

I see that mine appears to have expired on 1 Feb (according to the InControl app) but there does not seem to be any way to renew or fix this.

How did you go with it?

Hi Drafrete,

The subscription shows as "expired" and I haven't been offered a renewal.

Its not a feature that I use except that I've noticed that I can still get weather forecasts if I ask the posh lady for them. I guess this is part of the Data Plan. So maybe it will continue without renewal.

Similar for me, i have one plan still active until April 26, will chat to my JLR dealer to see what the options are and report back.

Hi, an update of sorts.

I send a request to the "InControl" support email asking how to renew.

After a few emails were exchanged it was confirmed that my car (MY24) has the eSIM embedded in the telematics module. I was told that only a dealer can update or renew the data plan. Rang the dealer service centre. Was told that it is done online through the App. Relayed the support centre information and told them that I have no option in either the app or online InControl site to renew this. Service centre said that they would need to seek more advice and would ring me back later that day.

Needless to say I never heard from them.

Going in for service in a week or so. I hope I can find someone who knows about this. InControl support suggested that LR service may need to take out or access the telematics module directly. I really hope not, seeing where it is and the all the trim that has to come off to get at it.

I'll report back after the service visit.

Hi all,

I took the car to the dealer this week for service. Let them know I would like to know about the data plan. When I picked the car up I was told that despite several enquiries to JLR it appears that no-one in Australian service or support knows how to renew the plan.

It looks like it is a short term feature of the car with no support.

If this changes I will report back here.

Have you lost any functionality in the vehicle?
