View Full Version : REMLR Forbidden 403 Error

Hello REMLR members,
Just wondering if you have tried logging in today to REMLR. I had multiple attempts to log in via a shortcut. Each time the screen was filled with "403 FORBIDDEN". What was the old TV or radio advertisement "Is it just me? Or is it happening to YOU TOO?"
The next questions are: do I have to do something - like my now pretty old 'shortcut' no longer works? Or do I just have to wait until an Administrator fixes some form of error?
It is sad to state that is now a big surprise to see a new post on the forum. Yes, I know I could post by starting working on my military vehicles - except they have been mothballed while I boost my skills up on more expendable civilian models. Otherwise, I would be posting there.
Kind regards
Lionel

I'm not a REMLR member. However, I can access the various sub folders. If I use this link (http://Remlr Forums) though, I get the 403. That link is provided at the top of the REMLR page. Spelt incorrectly, I might add.
EDIT: Just tried the link as posted and it's broken.

G'day Tins,
Thanks for taking the effort to look. I would have posted the short cut link I used. However, I think that there is a saying that goes something like 'trying to solve a problem using the same technique that has already failed a number of times is the definition of insanity.'
Other people using other links may succeed where I had failed... um ... once or ... um twice .. um using the same link [bighmmm]
Kind regards

Hello All,
Here is the correct expression and the original source ...
‘Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.’
Civil rights campaigner and feminist writer Rita Mae Brown is the real author of the phrase. In her 1983 book Sudden Death, Brown attributes the quote to a fictional ‘Jane Fulton’. However, the idea of a link between repetition and insanity can be traced back to the 19th century. Accessed 19th December 2025 from,

Hello Incisor,
It opened fine for me earlier this morning. Reading your post I just checked again. For what I am sure is the first time ever with the site, I had to 'Verify that I am human'. Once verified I got straight back in. Perhaps the site is being 'upgraded' and things have gone awry for some people? Technology ... Aye!
Kind regards

Hello Dave,
Obviously another one of those 'upgrades' designed to increase user-friendliness - of course!
Kind regards
