This is regarding my Land Rover L550 MY2017 – TD4 180, 2.0L Ingenium diesel, 9-speed auto.
I bought a used car which was 140,000 km and owning for around 6 months now. I had following issues in the past 6 months.
Initially had an EGR-related fault, which was addressed by replacing the low-pressure EGR filter.
After that, I noticed frequent DPF regenerations.
Around two months later, the engine oil level dropped to minimum. I added engine oil (approx. 5L) to bring the level back up.
At the same time, I received fault code P0341 (Camshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance).
About one month later (just before Christmas), the engine stopped while driving.
Current condition: the engine cranks, but during inspection it appears the camshaft is not rotating.
I have not continued cranking since this was observed.
Mechanics are trying to avoid taking this job saying it is difficult, time consuming and no tools. I wrote to some JLR service centers, but no reply yet.(this happened just before Christmas) can someone help me regarding the best thing I should do. even I checked with a wrecked yard, they will pay only $2000 [bigsad]
